Why Locara Exists

Locara is a social platform built around shared context. We help people connect through where they live, what they care about, and who they already know. Instead of algorithms, global feeds, or follower counts, Locara organizes communication into trusted circles that reflect real life.

The experience is intentionally private, local, and relevant. You do not build a profile. You do not follow people. You do not perform for visibility. Every post you make stays inside a specific circle. That might be a private group of close friends, a parent network for your school, or a public interest circle in your area.

Locara was created in response to what social media became. The platforms that once promised connection now optimize for reach, engagement, and surveillance. We built Locara to go in the opposite direction. There are no suggested posts. There is no trending tab. There are no invisible systems ranking what you see. Your feed is simply the people and groups you chose to be part of, shown in the order they posted.

Privacy is not just a feature. It is the foundation. Locara does not track you, profile you, or sell your data. Your postal code determines what circles are available to you, but your live location is never used. Ads appear only in the form of a single banner, and they are based only on the postal code you entered when signing up. We do not serve ads based on browsing history, keyword behavior, or third party data.
